On the Doorstep is a piece for baritone saxophone and tape
written in 2004 for Duane Cosby's senior recital. It is based on
the H.P. Lovecraft short story of the same name. The Tape part
was prepared in the William Paterson University's Center for
Electronic Music lab. The sounds are samples of Duane talking
and playing, resynthesized and scrambled using Csound, and
then reorganized in Digital Performer.
